Lesley Jane Robertson aged 46 years peacefully fell asleep on the 6th July 2009. Lesley was a loving
daughter to John and Pauline Rhymes and a dear sister to Louise, Sally and Jason. Lesley was a very
muched loved mother to Sheli and a treasured nanny to Charlie. Lesley leaves behind many friends who
loved her dearly for her cherished friendship, kindness, love and laughter.
Lesley was always ready to help anyone that needed it, she would find a solution and make things
better, we miss her howls of laughter and funny ways. Lesley loved to shop, whenever the chance
arose which was very often she would don her heels and head to the shops to spend spend spend and
looking back we dont blame you sis!! another great love of Lesleys was holidays, she travelled far
and wide exploring different countries and cultures, she loved the sunshine and lived life to the
fullest. You had a short life Lesley but you filled every minute with excitement and adventure xx
Sadly missed by everyone that knew her, we all love her dearly and think of her every day. Reunited
with sister Lorraine, niece Stacey and mum Pauline in safe hands until we all meet again. GOD BLESS
beautiful angel xxxxx
I Live on in you
I am looking down upon you, am sitting by gods side
I see the tears your crying, the grief you cannot hide
I know each day you wake up, you think of me and cry
Asking every single day why did I have to die.
I know of course you love me you do and always will
Please know that though we are apart I also love you still
When you think of me I hope, that you think of me and smile
For I do when I think of you that makes my life worthwhile.
Remember all the times we had remember what we shared
And even when we argued, remember that I cared.
Remember when I made you laugh, not when I made you sad
Remember you’re my sister of that I am so glad.
I know your heart is breaking, I know you miss me so
I know you want a reason, but that we’ll never know
I know you want to hug me, and hold me oh so tight
Not have that aching feeling each and every night.
So this I need to tell you to try and mend your heart
For me and you my sister will never be apart
Every single breath you take, and everything you do
I am there beside you, for I live on in you.
My body may be broken but my spirit cannot die
I swear to you that this is not a lie
We are the same, we always were and always we will be
Just now I am away from you so you have to live for me.
You always made me glow with pride, I know you always will
I was proud you were my sister, and yes I am proud still
Live your life and live it well, for I am not gone
I am with you and will be for all your lifetime long
A poem for Lesley xxx
Days are now so lonely
since you went away
Nights are now much darker
and we know that's how they'll stay.
The sun is not as warm now
when it shines on me
and the cold seems so much colder
than what it used to be.
Smiles do not light our face
like they used to do before
the greatest times are in the past
they cannot be anymore.
Our thoughts often take a stroll
away down memory lane
and as we walk around a bend
We see your face again.
Rolling tides of yesterday
wash wonderful memories of you ashore
and as we gently sift through each one
Our aching hearts feel sore.
Life changed all too quickly
when your glowing light went out
lonely, stranger, so much duller
is what it's now about.
"Happy" is not like it used to be
"Sad" feels much worse too
"Pain is so much stronger
when we stop and think of you.
Our family chain has been broken
I know now this is true
but we miss that shining piece of chain
that linked us so much to you.
Life goes on we know it does
family and friend will help us through
but life will never be as nice
as life was when we had you XXX
